The Diplomaticos cigar is a medium to full-bodied Cuban cigar brand introduced in 1966 as essentially a value line derivative of the Cuban Montecristo cigar brand, originally targetted to the French market.
The Diplomatico cigar line is comprised exclusively of handmade Cuban cigars. The sizes and names essentially mirror the Montecristo nomenclature and the Diplomaticos cigar line is handmade at the Jose Marti cigar factory, as is most of the Montecristo Cuban cigar range.

Diplomatico cigars is a brand within the range of Habanos cigars. The Habanos Denomination of Origin certification is applied to all cigars in which 100 per cent of the tobacco used in the cigar has been grown in Cuba.
