This was my first Onyx Reserve Maduro cigar. Construction is above par with smooth and well finished cap. The cigar is very dark, even for a Maduro. Initial third of the cigar produced a taste of berries. Now I don't have enough of a cigar palate to say that it was blackberries or raspberries growing on the south side of a protected valley, so let's just call it mixed berries :) This taste returned in the last quarter. The middle of the cigar was full of black pepper and licorice - an absolute great taste combination. Even burn and just slightly stiff draw. Overall - a recommendation.
